Advance Certificate in Photovoltaic System InstallationAdvance Certificate in Photovoltaic System Installation is a competence based qualification which covers installing photovoltaic (PV) panels and systems into roofs, onto roofs or in non roof structures. It is suitable for those working in the installation of photovoltaic panels as PV Installers or Solar Panel Installers.
It covers communicating and working with others, working with PV systems, locating, preparing testing, handling, fixing and completing the installation of photovoltaic panels; the importance and requirements of health and safety are emphasised throughout the qualification.

This course is intended for final year engineering graduates or engineering fresh graduates, and will cover the basics of solar power system design, concepts, schematics, Single Line Diagrams(SLD), power estimation, performance efficiency, installation techniques, electrical safety, circuit fundamentals, materials specifications, methods, testing & commissioning process.

India Sets Year-on-Year Targets to Reach Ambitious 2022 Solar Goal In 2014, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a goal to  increase solar power      capacity to 100 Giga watts (GW) by 2022 —five times higher than the previous target. The 2022 target is extremely ambitious (the world’s total        installed solar power capacity was  181 GW in 2014 ) and would make India a global leader in renewable energy. Moreover, Piyush Goyal,   India’s Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy, recently said that  India aims to achieve its 100 GW solar target as early as the end of 2017.
